My weekend!!!
This weekend was too busy. I went to Xmatcuil three times and I was so bored there, only because I went with my friends, I had a lot of fun.
The first day (Friday) I went with one of my friends, his name is Jorge and he invited me because his friends had gone there and He didn´t want to go alone. For that I went with him. His friends are friendly and They were so cute with me. We ate pizza and walked to see almost every store there. I was so tired at the final.
On Saturday I went to Xmatcuil with my best friend Richi and his friends too. There was a lot of fun, I love to be with them because is a different space and I like to be in contact with other kind of people and Richi´s friends are so different than my friends. That day we only go there for three hours because the weather was terrible and i need to be in my house early.
And on Sunday, I went with my High school friends. Many of my friends don´t like the mechanic plays but I love these kind of things; for that reason, I convenced three of them to go with me to these plays. We spent a great time together. I was so happy because I saw a lot of my friends that i didn´t see in a long time. Almost never we can be complete and this case was not the exception, Elina couldn´t go and Rita either. Elina was in Tekanto and Rita went to Xmatcuil but with her other friends. There was a wonderful day.
I love this weekend because I could be with many of my friends and I met new people too. I want to repeat it the next weekend jajaja.

DEBATE OVER OUTSOURCING
Test Your Understanding, #4,
27 March 2004
[Broadcast: March 5, 2004]
This is Bob Doughty with the VOA Special English Economics Report.
Companies often give work to an outside business that can do the job for less money than their own employees could. This is called outsourcing. Outsourcing has become a political issue in the campaign for the American presidential election in November.
Many companies in the United States have been moving jobs to countries where costs are much lower. Factory production jobs have moved away for years. But the jobs now also involve skills like computer programming.
Labor groups and workers are angry. They point to reports that say the United States has lost two-and-a-half million jobs since two-thousand-one. Most were jobs in manufacturing. Some states have lost more jobs than others. But no one seems to know for sure how many jobs left the country.
There was a recession. Jobs were cut. Yet, so far, the economic recovery has produced fewer jobs than expected. So outsourcing has created an emotional debate.
Lou Dobbs has a business news program on CNN television. He keeps a list of companies that have sent jobs to foreign countries. Almost every night, Mister Dobbs talks about what he calls the “exporting of America.”
Gregory Mankiw [man-CUE] is the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to President Bush. Recently Mister Mankiw said outsourcing is probably good for the economy in the long term. He said it makes sense to import goods or services produced at lower cost. He called it "just a new way of doing international trade."
Most economists would probably agree. But Democrats and Republicans criticized Mister Mankiw. He later apologized for having appeared to praise the loss of United States jobs.
Criticism of outsourcing has led some people to condemn free trade. They argue that if jobs are lost to foreign countries, then America should seek protective measures.
The director general of the World Trade Organization does not see it that way. Supachai Panitchpakdi says one-third of all economic growth in the United States since nineteen-ninety resulted from international trade.
Mister Supachai says training and education can create new opportunities for workers. He says exports have helped create five-million new jobs in America in the last ten years. He says those jobs pay ten-percent above the average.
This VOA Special English Economics Report was written by Mario Ritter. This is Bob Doughty.

Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
Complete the song.
Closed off from love
I didn’t need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you’re frozen
But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground
Found something true
And everyone’s looking round
Thinking I’m going crazy
But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
Trying hard not to hear
But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling
But nothing’s greater
Than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
I see your face Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I’m going crazy, maybe, maybe
But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
And it’s draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I’ll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see
** REFLECTION:
It´s hard to me practiced listening skills, but i hope that I can improve them with more practice and dedication. I will try harder and I will listen more songs in English. In this exercise I have to listen the song many times and the page that I put in the source is the page that I obtain the letter of the song because at the final I have to checked my answers and corrected mistakes.

Wild Children
Wild Children: Part I
The early history of the city of Rome involves Romulus and Remus, two orphan boys who, legend says, were raised by a she-wolf. The boys' mother had been murdered by an evil king and the two babies tossed into the river Tiber. When the wolf found them they had washed up on the shore. She perhaps took pity on the crying of the babies and, gently picking them up in her teeth, she carried them back to her cave and fed them on her milk. The boys grew bigger and stronger and, eventually, were found by a herdsman who took them home. He and his wife raised the boys like their own children. When they reached manhood they sought revenge on the king who had killed their mother and driven them from their home. They decided to build a city. Unfortunately, they argued over the appropriate site and Romulus killed his brother Remus. Romulus ruled this city -- called Roma -- for thirty-seven years. The city of Rome is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. If you travel there you can see a statue of the two baby boys feeding from their mother - the wolf.
